There are many ways to volunteer to serve international students with ICF at UTD.
In addition to volunteering in a home group, there are opportunities to volunteer with the Big Howdy, the Friendship Partner® Program as well as special events.
Serving Opportunities:
Friendship Partner®
Sign up as a volunteer to be a Friendship Partner® at the beginning of the school year. Develop a relationship with an international student and share your culture with them. This is an incredible chance to make a difference globally from right where you are! All you need is a willingness to love and serve students who have been sent to us from around the world.
Special Events
We have lots of special events and trips during the school year! Including special retreats, parties and outings to different places around Texas. For details about specific events see the Calendar and click below to learn more about our events during the semester!
Home Group
At Home Group you will meet new international friends. We always eat together, sing some American and Christian Songs or play some great group games to get to know each other. Then we break off and have discussion groups. Join us on a day that works for you!
The Big Howdy
Big Howdy is a group of campus organizations, local churches and community volunteers who are here to help you as you transition to living in Dallas, Texas. We also try to help you make connections within the community so you can have the best possible educational and personal experience while in Texas.
